Things about me

I found this idea from Celestes blog, it's about telling seven random things about yourself and it sounded like a fun thing to do. So, here we go:

1. I love Audrey Hepburns look and I have many pictures of her on my walls. The movies she's been in are so full of romance and charm of old times, my favorite being Breakfast at Tiffanys.

2. I'm so in love with my Moleskine weekly planner! Its a calendar, but there's lot of place for notes, to do-lists, etc. Its the best calendar ever and I almost always carry it with me!

3. At the moment I'm reading the third Twilight book, Eclipse. There are many things I find bit silly in these stories, but there are also three reasons why I like them: I like fantasy, I like love stories and I like cute guys!

4. I got this parfym as a present after I've been longing for it a long time. It's a wonderful scent. And I also like the ad with Anne Hathaway.

5. Mediterranian food is my favorite: mozzarella, fresh basil and tomatoes, pasta, pizza, feta, olive oil, all the other cheeses, wines..

 6. I really love red hair and like to color mine red too. I also like other red things, like red roses, red wine, red dresses, red lips (wish I could do it myself too) and I even have red cupboards in my flat :)

7. I love dancing! And this my favorite dance-song at the moment, It's just amazing!!

The ghosts you draw on my back

Today I was so drawn by these quite melancholic pictures, they have such a strong feeling in them. And they have a great style.

Dreaming this year

This year I'm taking some good time dreaming and making goals for the next 12 months. I've found some great ideas around internet and I believe that when you give attention to your dreams you call them to happen. I'll write here some of the bigger things I'd like to see happening:

  • The big goal for me this year is to be more creative all in all. Knitting, crocheting, sewing, drawing, playing piano, painting, etc. Projects like sewing a beautiful dress, making a doll, making that book and knitting long socks. I'm taking part in The Creative Every Day Challenge (more info here) and I'll also try (once again) to go through Julia Cameron's book "Vein of Gold".

  • I'm also, like always, dreaming of travelling. France, Italy, Ireland, London, New York, friends in Austria and Germany, just to start with...there are so many places I'd like to visit.

  • One thing I really need to do is exercise more. I really like yoga, but I'm bit lazy. So yoga sometimes plus dancing in my favorite bar are not really enough.... At least I'll start walking. But not before it gets bit warmer (we had -30 today!!)

  • Other things I'm dreaming of include bigger kitchen, cause I really like cooking and baking and it would make them even more enjoyable, learning more about alternative healing , visiting flea markets more often, buying new cell phone (mine is so cute, but getting quite old...), learning to do more pretty braid-things with my hair, having fun parties, taking care of my friendships and getting to know more great people, being more positive, brave and open minded, blogging actively and one I've had for a long time: flying with hot air balloon!!

Sweet dreams are made of this..

Wrapped up in books

I've had this dream of making book of some kind, just for myself. It could be just drawing, art journaling or even a self-made fairytale with cute pictures. Here a few books I found for my inspiration.

I heart the Arctic Mini Book found here. I like the way its drawn and the idea of the translucent pages in between.

Beautiful fabric journals by Anne Julie Aubry. In her blog Ma petite theire you can find more of these and other paintings by her. I love these so much. The colors, her style, the fabricks. Just magical.

Such a inspiring book from Ruth Ashton called Monsters of the Household variety. Found here in Anthropologie (via all the mountains). I really suggest visiting the page, there you can by moving the mouse over the pictures see all the cute little details in the pages.

The Beginning..

Welcome! This is the beginning of my blog and a new journey for me. I've been dreaming about this for some time and now, in the beginning of a new year, it feels like a good time to start. I've been reading some really amazing blogs, which have inspired me so much!

This blog will be about the beautiful, inspiring, cute, crazy, magical, creative things I find here and there. This will also be the place where I can put things I create myself. I've been quite lazy lately so this should be pushing me to do more and learn more on the way. I'm going to make some goals for the year, which I will put here later. This year is going to be so amazing!
